Many people incorrectly fold the flag of the United States of America. After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of those who served under General George Washington and Captain John Paul Jones, and anyone of the Armed Forces of the United States who secure our rights, privileges, and freedoms we enjoy today. To show respect, citizens of the United States of America fold the flag a special way, outlined below.
