I was born in Italy then I moved to France
I am only half figured, so I cannot dance
I keep my right-hand snug over my left wrist
I have an enigmatic smile, though I cannot kiss
If you measure my height, I’m only seventy seven
I have an Oscar thanks to Livingston and Evans
I lived with Napoleon, but that was not fun
Cole put me on the Billboard eight weeks number one

Who am I?

Joke Of The Day: The Juggler Greg was traveling down I-40 with a jugglers show when he radioed to his convoy that he needed to stop and use a roadside facility, and would catch up with them down the road.

When he started driving again, he noticed a Texas Trooper flashing his lights behind him.

Greg pulled over to the shoulder, off the road and stopped, the trooper got out of his squad car and walked up to his car.

This was the conversation that followed:

Trooper: May I see your licenses and insurance?

Greg: Sure

Greg hands the trooper his information and the trooper looks over the items.

Trooper: You do realize you were speeding?

Greg: Yes, sir.

Trooper: Is there a reason for this?

Greg: Well, sir, you see, I am a juggler, and I am traveling with a show from Amarillo to Oklahoma City. I needed to stop and use the rest area, so I told the convoy I was driving with to go on ahead, and I would catch up with them. I was in the process of trying to catch up, when you pulled me over.

The Trooper paused for a moment.

Trooper: You say you are a juggler?

Greg: Yes sir.

Trooper: I have always been fascinated with jugglers. I’ll tell you what. If you juggle something for me, I will not write you a citation.

Greg: OK. What would you like for me to juggle?

Trooper: You’re a juggler, and you don’t have anything to juggle?

Greg: Well you see sir, all of my equipment is in the trailer with the rest of the convoy, that is probably wondering where I am by now.

Trooper: Can you juggle flares?

Greg: Yes, I guess so.

The Trooper walks back to the trunk of his squad car, opens it, pulls out six flares, and hands them to Greg. Greg begins to juggle the flares, when all of a sudden, he hears a loud screeching sound.

A car had stopped behind the squad car and a man was sitting in his car watching the activity. The trooper walks back to the stopped car.

Trooper: Are you in need of assistance?

Man in car: Yes sir! If this is the sobriety test here in Texas, you might as well take me in right now, cause there is no way I can do that.

In this article, we will look into the mysterious world of the 27 Club, explore the lives and untimely deaths of its members, and ponder the strange notion that some believe they may have made a deal with the devil.

The 27 Club, as the name suggests, is a peculiar and ominous occurrence where famous musicians, actors, and artists meet their untimely demise at the age of 27. It’s a macabre coincidence that has left many to wonder if there is something more sinister at play. Let’s take a closer look at some notable members of this eerie club.

Robert Johnson: The Delta Blues Legend

One of the earliest members of the 27 Club was Robert Johnson, a legendary blues musician whose influence can be heard in the works of countless artists. Johnson’s life was shrouded in mystery, and his devilishly skillful guitar playing fueled rumors that he had made a pact with the devil at a crossroads in exchange for his unparalleled musical talents. His death, however, is equally mysterious. On August 16, 1938, Robert Johnson passed away at the age of 27 under circumstances that remain unclear. Some say he was poisoned, while others claim it was a result of his wild lifestyle. Regardless of the cause, his untimely death added to the club’s mystique.

Brian Jones: The Rolling Stone That Lost His Shine

Brian Jones, a founding member of The Rolling Stones, was another mysterious figure who met an early demise. Jones was known for his extraordinary musical talents and turbulent lifestyle. His death on July 3, 1969, marked a tragic end to his journey. He was found dead in his swimming pool at the age of 27. While the official cause of death was listed as “death by misadventure,” the circumstances of his drowning raised suspicions, and his passing became another dark chapter in the 27 Club’s history.

Jimi Hendrix: The Guitar Virtuoso

Jimi Hendrix, one of the most influential guitarists in history, met a tragic end at the age of 27. His remarkable talent and innovative guitar techniques contributed to his iconic status. On September 18, 1970, Hendrix was found dead in London. The official cause of death was asphyxiation from vomit due to a barbiturate overdose, but there have been lingering questions about the circumstances leading up to his demise. Some have speculated that Hendrix’s death may have been accidental, while others have questioned whether it was more sinister.

Janis Joplin: The Soulful Songstress

Janis Joplin, known for her powerful and soulful voice, also tragically joined the 27 Club. Her struggles with addiction and her untimely death on October 4, 1970, further added to the club’s strange reputation. Joplin died of a heroin overdose, highlighting the tragic consequences of substance abuse that often accompany fame.

Jim Morrison: The Lizard King

Jim Morrison, the charismatic frontman of The Doors, was yet another member of the 27 Club. His poetic lyrics and magnetic stage presence made him an iconic figure. On July 3, 1971, Morrison was found dead in a bathtub in Paris, France. The official cause of death was listed as heart failure, but questions have swirled around the circumstances of his demise, adding to the intrigue surrounding the club.

Kurt Cobain: The Grunge Icon

Kurt Cobain, the voice of a generation and leader of Nirvana, left a lasting impact on the music world. His death by suicide at the age of 27 on April 5, 1994, sent shockwaves through the industry and left fans mourning the loss of his talent. Cobain’s suicide note and the circumstances of his death have been the subject of extensive speculation and debate.

Amy Winehouse: The Troubled Diva

The most recent addition to the 27 Club was the talented yet troubled Amy Winehouse. Her soulful voice and emotional lyrics captured the hearts of many, but her struggles with addiction ultimately claimed her life on July 23, 2011. Winehouse’s death was attributed to alcohol poisoning, emphasizing the tragic consequences of addiction in the world of music.

The common thread among these artists is not just their extraordinary talents but also the turbulent lives they led, often plagued by addiction and personal demons. While there is no concrete proof that the 27 Club members made deals with the devil, the eerie coincidence of their deaths at the age of 27, coupled with the dark circumstances of their demises, has led to speculation and conspiracy theories.

In the end, the 27 Club remains a haunting and unsettling phenomenon in the world of music and entertainment. While we may never know the truth behind the deaths of its members, their legacies live on through their art and the lessons we can learn from their troubled lives. The dark allure of the 27 Club serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of fame and the darkness that can lurk behind the brightest stars.

Every dawn begins with me,
At dusk I’ll be the first you see,
And daybreak couldn’t come without
What midday centers all about.
Daisies grow from me, I’m told
And when I come, I end all cold,
But in the sun I won’t be found,
Yet still, each day I’ll be around.
