Newly married, my husband and I had, had several heated discussions concerning the division of household chores.
I complained that I was doing the lion’s share.
Not long after, I returned home and found every second room vacuumed, the dishes washed and the laundry done and folded. I was even more touched to find “I love you” drawn in the dust on every second shelf of the bookcases.
There once was a man, who was innocent, who was sent to prison, and was to die the next day by beheading. His cell was stone with a dirt floor, and a heavy wooden door that couldn’t be opened from the inside. There was a window 15 feet high, but he could not climb the wall. He tried to tunnel out, but the wall went too far underground, so he abandoned that idea.
