One Lucky Soldier

U.S. Sergeant Dan Powers is one lucky guy. Last July, Sergeant Powers was investigating an explosion near Baghdad when an Iraqi teenager came out of nowhere and stabbed him in the side of the head with a nine-inch knife. The blade penetrated his brain, but fortunately it didn’t cause any long-term damage. “I felt a bump but didn’t know I had a knife in my head as the brain has no pain-sensory nerves,” said Powers.
