There is no happy in Memorial Day. This is a day for those who gave up all of their tomorrows for an ungrateful nation today. This is for children with no father; parents without sons; wives without husbands. This is for the awful burden carried in the hearts of those who came home, who in the dark of night wish more than anything else they did not. This is for those who made it home only to find themselves strangers to everyone around them, those who died in war, but continued to live, until the war finally killed them as well.
I’ve paid my taxes for years and paid for a Justice Dept. that doesn’t give us justice. I’ve paid for the buildings in DC that I can’t visit because they’re ringed with barbed wire. I’ve paid my cable bill and the only news I see is so fake it makes me sick. I’ve paid for the Iranians to develop a nuclear bomb I’ve paid for 20+ years of war in Afghanistan that accomplished nothing. I’ve paid for the Wuhan lab to create the virus that threatens my livelihood. I’ve paid for bureaucrats to do nothing but harass the man I voted for President I’ve paid for a wall to protect our southern border only to have Biden stop the work I’ve paid for the post office to lose my mail but find lots of illegal ballots. I’ve paid for my schools to indoctrinate my kids about the glories of Communism I’ve paid for my government to remove God from the public square. I’ve paid for Planned Parenthood to murder millions of kids since Roe v. Wade. I’ve paid inflated prices for sports and entertainment that now disparages the flag. I could go on and on. I’m sick of paying. I want my money back. I refuse to pay any more taxes until this country gets straightened out and criminals go to jail. They will try to paint me as the criminal, but I am not. I’m simply an American of simple means trying to get by in a country that’s supposed to be the best in the world. The military is our last hope that we can get back on track. They need to take action and quick. Otherwise, there won’t be anything left to save.
