Simon Cowell’s voice in his first ever TV appearance is hilarious.
In what is believed to be Simon’s first ever TV appearance, the music mogul has not yet discovered the high waisted trousers and low-cut shirts.
Instead, a 20-something Simon rocked a white T-shirt with rolled up sleeves and a bouffant hair-do Sharon Osbourne could only dream of.
His appearance on the 1987 Channel 4 show Right to Reply saw Simon air his views on a controversial TV debate about sex.
Simon displayed some early signs of his trademark savage insults when he laid into the sex debate.
He said: “We actually thought the thing was a joke it was so bad and as we began to go through the show we realised that these people were actually being serious.
“If you’re going to talk about sex you might as well make it informative and at least interesting and when we showed a video to our friends everybody agreed it was one of the most boring videos we’d ever seen in our lives.
“Instead of encouraging people to talk about sex and talk about safe sex which is probably an important thing it probably encouraged a lot of people to either fall asleep or turn off.”
So it seems the opinionated businessman had his sights set on TV domination even then.
But rather than paying attention to what he was actually saying, most viewers of the clip couldn’t quite get over the sound of the X Factor star’s voice.
One person commented: “He sounds like he’s either on helium or just came from Munchkinland!”
Another said: “Omg hahahaha his voice I can’t stop laughing.”
