British Man Adopts Pygmy Goat

Warning: you will want a pygmy goat too if you watch this video.

Benjamin is an orphaned 5 week old pygmy goat who lives with Tom at Pot House Hamlet, Silkstone, Barnsley, S754JU.

Benjamin’s is one of twins but his mother didn’t take to him. There appeared to be little hope for the baby boy so in stepped Tom. Tom has been hand rearing the baby goat day and night and now he has turned a corner and really healthy.

Benjamin follows Tom everywhere at Pot House Hamlet, he meets and greets the customers and loves to skip and jump around the place.

Ian White from the BBC visited Pot House Hamlet to produce a segment for the news.

Pot House Hamlet is a tourist attraction based on the edge of the Pennines, in the rural village of Silkstone in Barnsley, Yorkshire.

We have plenty to see and do here so pop down and visit.

Marking His Territory

I’d hate to see this little fella take a poo.

Enjoy!

At first glance, Frankie is just an ordinary everyday pug. Pudgy face, cute skin rolls and a breathless little grunt that makes him all the more adorable. But then nature calls.

Frankie is the star of a new video in which he takes going for a wee to the next level.

The three-year-old, believed to be owned by Olga Ostashinskaya, is filmed outside his home in Russia on his two front paws doing a remarkable paw-stand while he pees.

In the video, Frankie stays on his front paws for no less than 67 seconds while keeping a steady stream flowing. He walks around the concrete yard, anything but camera shy as his owner films.

Paw-stand peeing is nothing new for pugs, one of the quirks of the beloved breed from from China to Europe in the 16th century, but few are as impressive as Frankie.

‘His owner says no one taught him how to do it and that it has been a habit with him since he was a pup,’ says the YouTube post.

‘While she and her children are used to seeing it, Frankie’s peeing technique never fails to put a smile on the face of bystanders every time they take him for a walk.’

While his circus skills are admirable, unfortunately his front legs can’t hold out as long as his bladder can produce its core product.

When Frankie’s legs give way at the end of the video, and with no standard leg-cocking technique at his disposal, the little guy simple pees on his front foot.

After all that effort!

Heartbroken Dog Waits At The Hospital For An Owner Who Will Never Return

Every day a devoted brown Dachshund named Masha has been waiting at a Siberian hospital for her owner who died a year ago. Heartbroken Masha has been visiting the Novosibirsk District Hospital Number One for the past two years, ever since her owner, a pensioner from the village of Dvurechie, was admitted. Masha was his only visitor. She would go away at night to guard their house and return to the hospital in the morning to keep the man company.

It seems that love is more an animal concept than a human one.

Sadly, the man died a year ago but the loyal dog continues to show up every day, presumably because she believes he’s still there, or because she has nowhere else to go. With her undying loyalty, Masha has managed to worm her way into the hearts of the hospital staff. They now ensure that a warm bed and food await her whenever she arrives. They hope that she’ll be able to recover from her sadness and be able to find a new home.

She is waiting for him, for her owner,” said nurse Alla Vorontsova. “Just recently a family tried to adopt her, but Masha ran away and returned to the hospital. She was taken on Friday evening, and at 3am on Saturday she was back here.”

“You see her eyes, how sad they are – it’s not the usual shiny eyes for when a dog is happy,” said chief doctor Vladimir Bespalov. “You can see this in animals in the same way as with people. There is no medicine that can help her, but we are still hoping that Masha will be able to find another owner. One day, our Masha will trust somebody.”

Cats Welcoming Home Soldiers

We’ve all seen those heartwarming videos of dogs welcoming home soldiers. For some reason, we do not often see these same videos with cats. Well, here’s a funny compilation, created by Kate Sidley , of cats doing it.

One more reason to be a dog person!
