The Royal Thai Navy Drill Team

The Royal Thai Navy performs synchronized drill moves during the Armed Forces Day Parade in Thailand.

Enjoy!

A drill team from the Royal Thai Navy performs during a Royal Thai Armed Forces Day event in the Sattahip District of Thailand on January 18th. The impressive choreography is set to “The Final Countdown” by Europe. The choice of “It’s a Small World” may seem a bit strange to American ears, but it probably doesn’t have the same Disney connotation to those who haven’t been to the theme park.

Man Balances a Mini Cooper On His Head

In this video, John Evans, of Derbyshire England, balances a gutted 352-pound Mini Cooper on his head for 33 seconds for a new Guinness World Record.

John learned the trick of balancing things on his head when he worked as a bricklayer at 18. He needed to find a way to carry bricks up a ladder continuously so he devised a way of balancing them on his head.

“I don’t know why I can do it and other people can’t but I’ve been doing it nearly every day for years.

“It never gives me a headache – although sometimes I do get a bit of a stiff neck.”

Simply mind-blowing!

John Evans holds the Guinness World Record for the balancing the heaviest car on one’s head. How did he discover that he has this talent? It started while he was working as a bricklayer. He discovered that he could do his work faster if he carried bricks on his head, thus leaving both hands free.

Evans is enormously strong and has put that ability to work as an entertainer and strongman. Over the course of his career, Evans has balanced on his head a 357-pound car, 275 full pints of beer and a girl inside a flaming oil drum.

The Truth Behind Calorie Labels

No matter how much calorie information is presented to the consumer, people still choose the food they like, not what’s supposed to be healthier for them.

When calorie counts are posted for various foods, be aware that your mileage may vary. Sometimes it’s due to a generous server and just a dollop more than the standard size. And the fact that a Subway sandwich comes in as fewer than the stated calories can be attributed to the fact that Subway footlongs are eleven inches. But some foods have calorie counts that don’t seem to be related to reality at all.

If foods are going to have mandated calorie labels, why aren’t they mandated to be accurate? Because testing and enforcement is time-consuming and expensive, as you’ll see in this video by Casey Neistat of the New York Times. -via Nag on the Lake
