If the government can take your money, ship it overseas, and then tell you it’s classified where it went… you’re not funding a country. You’re funding a heist. And you’re the mark.
If a man steals from you and refuses to let you count what’s missing, he’s a thief. If a politician takes your money and fights tooth and nail against an audit, what do you think that makes him?
If there’s nothing to hide, why would any politician oppose exposing fraud in government? The only people who fight against transparency are the ones with something to lose. Corruption doesn’t protect itself—corrupt people do.
Funny how politicians panic at the thought of auditing government agencies. You’d think public servants wouldn’t mind a little transparency—unless, of course, exposing the money trail means explaining how a government salary turns into a millionaire’s fortune.
