(NEWSER) – If today’s men think that all those video games are helping them maintain optimal hand strength, they’d better think again. In a series of studies testing grip and pinch strength, researchers report in the Journal of Hand Therapy that among the 237 healthy millennials studied between the ages of 20 and 34, men today are significantly weaker than their counterparts of the ’80s. Specifically, men could squeeze with 120 pounds of force in 1985 and only 95 today, reports Today.com. The strength of women dropped off, too, but not as substantially.
The prime reason, the researchers propose, is that men are simply less handy—fewer work in manual labor jobs, hence the reduction in strength over these past three decades, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. They measured hand strength because it can be indicative of overall body strength, and weaker hands have been linked to anything from heart disease and stroke to arthritis. Men’s Fitness pointed out that this essentially means modern bros are wimpier than their dads and suggest that they start doing some grip strength workouts. (Apparently grip strength is more telling of certain health metrics than blood pressure readings.)

Iranian television has broadcast what some say is purported footage of the $400 million pallets of cash that officials claim was part of the “expensive price” paid by the Obama administration to free several U.S. hostages.
The footage, which could not be independently verified, shows images of large stacks of hard currency and features claims that the Obama administration sent this money over as part of an effort to free several U.S. hostages. The White House vehemently denied these claims this week following new reports about the cash exchange.
BBC Persian reporter Hadi Nili posted the footage on Twitter and describing it as showing the “pallets of cash” and quoting officials as saying “this was just part of the ‘expensive price’ to release Americans.”
The footage, which is from an Iranian documentary published a few months ago, contradicts claims by Obama administration officials maintaining that the payment was completely unrelated to the release of these U.S. hostages, despite the payment having been supplied on the same day these individuals were freed by Iran.
Iran experts who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon said that it is impossible to verify if the images show the same pallets of cash transferred by the Obama administration.
The footage also claims that the Obama administration insisted the negotiations over the matter take place in secret and threatened Iranian officials who may have leaked information to the media.
Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump referenced the footage in remarks this week, claiming that it is part of an effort by Iran to embarrass the United States.
“They have a perfect tape, done by obviously a government camera and the tape is of the people taking the money off the plane, right?” Trump said. “That means that in order to embarrass us further, Iran sent us the tapes, right?”
“It’s a military tape; it’s a tape that was a perfect angle, nice and steady, nobody getting nervous because they’re gonna be shot because they’re shooting a picture of money pouring off a plane,” Trump said.
The footage is part of a February documentary published by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The documentary purported to reveal behind-the-scenes details of the negotiations with the United States to free the American hostages. It maintains the negotiations were tied up in efforts to push the Iran nuclear agreement forward as it moved towards implementation.

Obama later said, “We have to change our behavior in showing the Muslim world greater respect.” Symbolism is important in world affairs. By bending over to show greater respect to Islam, Obama belittled the power and independence of the United States.
Nancy Pelosi and fellow radicals marched through the Tea Party protest on the way to the US Capitol to ram through ObamaCare against the will of the people.
Boehner was seen giving Pelosi a kiss on the cheek at a Rose Garden event, which Obama held to celebrate the $200 billion Medicare reform package deal that they personally helped negotiate. “I shouldn’t say this with John Boehner here, but that’s one way that this legislation builds on the Affordable Care Act,” Obama said, adding, “But let’s put that aside for a second.”

In a ceremony marking the U.S. return of the Benghazi victims’ bodies, both Obama and Clinton referred to the anti-Islam video, despite likely knowing the CIA’s conclusion that an al-Qaeda-linked group had pre-planned the attack.
During her testimony regarding the September 11th terrorist attack in Benghazi, Hillary got into a heated exchange with Republican Senator Ron Johnson after he questioned her about the Obama administration’s response to the attack. “With all due respect, the fact is we had 4 dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again Senator.”

The picture of our sailors kneeling with their hands over their heads while Iranian soldiers held them hostage was a huge national embarrassment for America, and angered many of us.
Obama got caught in private conversation with a hot mic in South Korea, telling outgoing Russian president Dmitry Medvedev that Vladimir Putin should give him more “space” and that “after my election I have more flexibility.”
Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.”
Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…”
Obama: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”
Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir, and I stand with you.”
Translated – Obama to Putin: I’ll surrender America after my re-election.
Progressive Obama stood near a massive mural of Ernesto “Che” Guevara, a faithful follower of Karl Marx, and solider feared by many for his brutality. Unlike his promises to close Guantanamo Bay, keep lobbyists out of the White House, and oppose an individual mandate for health insurance, at least we know that Obama was true to his word when he promised to bankrupt an entire industry that employs tens of thousands of Americans. Clearly Obama hates America!
Obama says ‘We don’t yet have a complete strategy’ to stop ISIS in Iraq.” That’s odd, he has a plan to import 30 million illegals. he has a plan to cover up Benghazi. He has a plan to destroy Christianity in America. He has a plan to destroy our health care. But… he doesn’t have a plan for the MAIN THING HE SHOULD BE DOING.
Sarah Palin was 100% right when she blasted Obama’s “weak leadership” on the situation in Ukraine, saying the perception of Obama across the globe is of a guy in “mom jeans.” “Look, the perception of Obama, of him and his potency across the world is one of such weakness.” “People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.”
No wonder the world now looks to Russia for leadership. Putin comes from strong genes, Obama — he comes from mom jeans.
