Mucus is awesome!
PBS Space Time host Gabe Perez-Giz explains how he calculated the weight of a fart for his episode about the plausibility of farting one’s way to the Moon. To squeak out his best estimate, Perez-Giz looked at a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine that measured the gas makeup of 10 people’s farts and the ideal gas law to find a workable average fart composition.
EVER WANTED TO WEIGH A FART? Well, it isn’t easy, but Gabe from PBS Space Time walks us through the math, physics, and science behind farts and explains how to measure them!
All together now… I can pee a rainbow, pee a rainbow, pee a rainbow too!
Enjoy!
What color should your pee even be? Depending on the color of your urine, you might want to contact your doctor right away… or just drink more water if your pee is simply dark yellow.
How to turn a glass of water into wine using a simple science trick.
Enjoy!
Turn water into wine! This simple science experiment demonstrates how fluids with different density can switch places. Fun to use as a magic party trick or as a demonstration for a physics experiment. Watch as the water switches place with the wine, because water has a higher density then wine. You could try using a playing card instead of the thin plastic spacer.
