RiddlesComments Off on Random Riddle: The Wind Is My Father
Jun022023
A cloud was my mother, the wind is my father, my son is the cool stream, and my daughter is the fruit of the land. A rainbow is my bed, the earth my final resting place.
Every dawn begins with me,
At dusk I’ll be the first you see,
And daybreak couldn’t come without
What midday centers all about.
Daisies grow from me, I’m told
And when I come, I end all cold,
But in the sun I won’t be found,
Yet still, each day I’ll be around.
I am a set of three words, all with the same four letters.
First I am a type of carriage.
Then switch my middle letters, and I am a cover often useful on a diamond.
Now switch my end letters …
When you see me, you also see hair.
trap = a light one-horse carriage
tarp = a canvas cover, one use is to protect a baseball diamond from rain
part = the line that divides hair, as when combing
