Deer Gets Hit By Bus, Ends Up Inside

This video, from the cameras inside the bus, show it traveling down the road as a deer runs out in front of it. The deer then strikes the windshield, breaking the glass and landing inside the bus.

The bus had been travelling along a the 200 block of Goucher Street in the town of Johnston, in the eastern state of Pennsylvania, when the incident happened.

“I saw something come through the window and then I saw the deer was there,” driver John Porter told local TV station WJACTV.com

The deer panicked and jumped around the bus as it tried to get out.

It took about two minutes for the driver to coerce the deer towards the door at the front of the bus, where it made it escape back into the wild.

The Ringing Rocks Of Pennsylvania

The Ringing Rocks Of Pennsylvania

The Ringing Rocks Of Pennsylvania

Ringing Rocks County Park is a Bucks County park in Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. Located within the park is a field of boulders that have an unusual property. When the rocks are struck with a hammer or another rock, they sound as if they are metal and hollow and ring with a sound similar to a bell or metal pipe being struck.

If you strike a rock, you’d expect to hear a dull ‘thud’. Or maybe a ‘chink’. Definitely not a ringing sound. So you’d be surprised to know that ringing rocks actually do exist. Nestled in the midst of the 128-acre Ringing Rocks County Park in Pennsylvania, is a field of unique boulders. Spread out across seven to eight acres, the boulders produce a distinctive metallic ‘clang’ when struck with a hammer or another piece of rock. Native Americans have known about the rocks for centuries, and passed on their knowledge to the first White settlers in the mid-1700s.

The sound produced by the rocks is so unexpected that it could get you wondering if they are really made of stone. They actually sound hollow and metallic. The strange phenomenon has baffled scientists and geologists for years. Several experiments have been conducted on the ringing rocks, but the exact reason for the unusual sound remains unknown.

Richard Faas, a geologist from Pennsylvania, tested a few of the rocks in his lab in 1965. He discovered that when struck, each individual rock produced low frequency tones that aren’t audible to the human ear. The tones from multiple rocks interact with each other and it’s the collective sound that we get to hear.

There’s another very odd thing about the field – there’s almost no vegetation or plant life in the area. Not even insects. The 10 foot deep field is hotter than the forest surrounding it and provides very little in terms of food or shelter. A few have claimed that compasses don’t work in the barren area, but no trace of high background radiation, abnormal magnetic fields or strange electromagnetic activity has ever been found. So I suppose that rules out the supernatural angle as well.

Easton, PA Man Pays Property Taxes In $7143 One Dollar Bills

An Easton, Pa. man, protesting the outrageous amount he is force to pay because of greed, waste and fraud, visited the local tax office and paid his property taxes in one dollar bills.

Most people have the taxes escrowed and do not see how much is stolen from them every year. Land ownership should be a sacred thing. Instead, you simply rent land from the government.

A video uploaded to YouTube ten days ago — which now has over 200k views — purports to show a man paying his $7,143 tax bill in one dollar bills.

The Pennsylvania man, identified by a local newspaper as Robert Fernandes of Forks Township, can be seen in the video carrying a large duffel bag full of bundled cash to his local tax office to pay school property taxes.

The man, whose wife home schools all three of his children, told lehighvalleylive.com he was upset he had to pay school taxes for a district his children don’t attend.

“We don’t even use the public system, yet I am being forced to pay all this money into a public school system,” he said. “I don’t think that’s really either fair or just or even ethical.”

“It would be the equivalent if McDonald’s were to force vegetarians to pay for their cheeseburgers,” he added.

Despite taking donuts offered to “anyone who is inconvenienced” by his gimmick, Fernandes did not appear to be warmly greeted by the tax collector.

The unidentified tax collector told the man his outrage would better be directed at the school board, but Fernandes refused to leave without having his money accepted by the agency.

“I’m not doing this to make anybody’s life more difficult,” Fernandes can be seen telling the collector in the video. “Unfortunately, I wish the same could be said, you know, for me and many others whose lives are more difficult for having to pay property taxes.”

The collector, who did not want to endure the daunting task of counting each dollar bill, ultimately asked Fernandes if he would be willing to accompany her to the bank so a teller can verify the amount of cash is correct.

Fernandes obliged her request, but noted the irony that the tax collecting agency had trouble collecting his money.

“It’s so much money they can’t count it by hand,” he said. “They are unable to count this large amount of money here.”

After exiting the bank, Fernandes said he was surprised by the way the whole ordeal was handled.

“I”m surprised that they can’t count money,” he said. “I thought that being, you know, that’s what they do — they take people’s money — that they would at least be at least somewhat efficient at counting money. But even the state isn’t efficient at counting money.”

Rep. Mike Kelly Gets Standing Ovation After Laying Into Former IRS Chief At Hearing

It’s amazing how much this scumbag Miller doesn’t know. I say we water-board the bastard.

Truth is powerful! Great job Rep. Mike Kelly!

This was great!
Rep Mike Kelly was given a standing ovation at Friday’s House hearing on IRS harassment of conservative groups.

“This is very chilling for the American people… And I don’t believe the White House just found out about this in a news report. Where you’re sitting you should be outraged but your’re not. This reconfirms everything the US public believes. Is there any question you shouldn’t have asked…. ‘What sign do you put up in your front yard?’ And this is a tax question? You can put anybody out of business anytime you want.”
