Most Consecutive Pinky Pullups

Pinky Pullups

Indian weightlifting champion Maibam Itomba Meitei trained for 14 Years to set the World Record for the most pinky pullups. He managed to perform 16 consecutive pull-ups using only his pinkies on March 15th, 2014.

Indian weightlifting champion Maibam Itomba Meitei probably has the strongest pinky fingers in the world. The 26-year-old from Imphal city in the state of Manipur recently set the Guinness World Record for the most number of ‘pinky pull ups’ – he used his little fingers to pull his chin above the bar 16 consecutive times in 30 seconds.

Maibam broke the world record previously set by an American weight lifter, who was able to do only 16 pull ups in one minute. He completed the stunning feat quite comfortably during an event organised at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy. The audience, consisting of several local politicians, was left speechless by Maibam’s display of sheer strength.

A specially designed iron bar was used for the performance – it had two small hooks for Maibam to insert his two little fingers. Once he laced his pinkies through the hooks, he was able to lift his body (weighing 51 kilograms) up with tremendous ease, bringing his chin all the way over to the bar.

To perform such an unimaginably tough task, Maibam went through several years of rigorous training. He has been perfecting his pinky pull-ups techniques for 14 years, with the specific goal of setting the world record. He also mentioned that during practice, he was actually able to do 28 pull ups in a minute. He wanted to do 30 on the day of the official performance, but he had to stop after only 16 pull ups in 30.906 seconds.

This was because of a serious glitch that occurred during his performance. His left little finger got stuck in a sharp edge and he began to bleed. But nothing stopped the strong young man from reaching his goal – and he eventually succeeded in breaking the record.

Britain’s Largest Dog

Freddy is believed to be Britain's largest dog.

Freddy is believed to be Britain’s largest dog. The Great Dane has been measured at 7ft 4in standing on his hind legs by owner Claire Stoneman. Although no official measurement has yet been made, that would make Freddy as tall as current world-record holder Zeus.

Freddy is a massive eighteen-month old great dane who eats over $120 worth of food per week and can only be walked at times when there aren’t any other dogs around, according to his human, Clare Stoneman.

She even gets up in the small hours for his daily 40-minute walk – so they won’t meet other dogs who might be intimidated by him. ‘If he wants to run after a dog I wouldn’t be able to stop him,’ said Miss Stoneman, who is 5ft 4in tall. – Daily Mail

Freddie, who has grown to 41 inches measured from his paws to withers (between shoulder blades), is only three inches away from the current record for the world’s tallest dog. The record is currently held by a Michigan great dane named Zeus, who stands at 44 inches from paws to withers. But at eighteen months, Freddie may have a bit more growing to do before reaching his full height and when he does, perhaps that record will be his for the taking.

Man Balances a Mini Cooper On His Head

In this video, John Evans, of Derbyshire England, balances a gutted 352-pound Mini Cooper on his head for 33 seconds for a new Guinness World Record.

John learned the trick of balancing things on his head when he worked as a bricklayer at 18. He needed to find a way to carry bricks up a ladder continuously so he devised a way of balancing them on his head.

“I don’t know why I can do it and other people can’t but I’ve been doing it nearly every day for years.

“It never gives me a headache – although sometimes I do get a bit of a stiff neck.”

Simply mind-blowing!

John Evans holds the Guinness World Record for the balancing the heaviest car on one’s head. How did he discover that he has this talent? It started while he was working as a bricklayer. He discovered that he could do his work faster if he carried bricks on his head, thus leaving both hands free.

Evans is enormously strong and has put that ability to work as an entertainer and strongman. Over the course of his career, Evans has balanced on his head a 357-pound car, 275 full pints of beer and a girl inside a flaming oil drum.

The ‘World’s Biggest’ Functioning Motorcycle

The ‘World’s Biggest’ Functioning Motorcycle

The Regio Design XXL Chopper is officially the world’s largest function motorcycle! It was first introduced to the world in Motorbike Expo 2012 where it stunned the audience worldwide. Designed by Fabio Reggiani, this big bad guy is 32 feet long and 16 feet high, effectively defeating all “biggest and baddest” motorcycle claims.

Powered by a 5.7 V8 Chevrolet 280 Horsepower Engine, the Regio Design XXL Chopper successfully completed its test ride of 100 m. It is indeed a perfect combination of balanced design and high speeds. The Chopper has beaten the previous largest bike record held by the Californian Gregory Dunham. Here is a comparison of both cycles.

For all bike lovers, The Regio Design XXL Chopper is the ultimate bike fantasy. It is something straight out of si-fi movies. Unluckily, this huge machine cannot be two-wheeled and so they provided support wheels.

The Italian Fabio Reggiani had four guys who took seven months to complete this giant. Before displaying the chopper, Reggiani claimed his bike would literally dwarf the 6 meters long and 3.5 feet tall motorcycle by Dunham. And he spoke nothing but the truth! The Regio Design Chopper is huge and the good thing is its functional! If you are wondering, the tires have diameter slightly less than 2 meters; something like the wheels used on tractors.

While the bike is not being produced on large scale at the moment, Reggiani will definitely explore the possibilities. Imagine owning this massive, gigantic machine and driving it down your street to work every morning!

The stabilizer wheels added to the grand Regio Design XXL Chopper provide extra support to assist the motorcycle manoeuvers. However, Reggiani claims that the bike can definitely function without the stabilizers but he just does not want to risk toppling the machine over.

The orange colored Chopper has been attracting lots of attention among bike lovers and fancy ride fanatics. We congratulate Fabio Reggiani on winning the Guinness World Record for the Largest Functional Bike ever made but we are curious who will be the ultimate owner. It would definitely be adrenaline pumping to have this road roller driving down the road.

Have a look at some of these amazing photos from the Verona Motorbike Expo 2012 and be awed by the amazing Regio Design XXL Chopper that gracefully holds the number 1 position in the list of largest functional bikes ever made.

Smallest Car In The World

Growing up, Phoenix-based Austin Coulson was always fascinated by all the cool automotive records he found in the yearly Guinness Book of Records, and dreamed of one day having his name mentioned in the famous publication. He recently got his wish, after building the world’s smallest roadworthy car.

29-year-old Austin Coulson says he developed a passion for tinkering with mechanical stuff very early in life. As a young boy, he used to ride bicycles with his friends, and always fond some parts to add or remove. When he turned 16. Austin bought his first car, a Bronco with a blown transmission. So he bought a repair manual and learned from scratch how take the thing apart and put it back together. It wasn’t easy, but he got the hang of it and he’s been building custom cars ever since. Two years ago, he saw a small go-kart with a car body on it, that made it look like a real miniature roadworthy vehicle. It got him thinking whether someone could really build such a small car and make it street legal. It also reminded Austin about his life-long dream of having his name in the Guinness Book of Records, so he started searching to see if there was already a record for the world’s smallest street-legal car. A guy from England held the record, but after seeing his creation, Coulson thought to himself “I can beat that”.

Austin builds custom cars for a living, sometimes even piecing them together from scratch, so his friends and family had no doubt about his ability to build the world’s custom car, but they were skeptical about getting it approved as roadworthy. Coulson agrees building the vehicle was the easiest part of the project. The body came from a 57′ Chevy Bel Air mockup, which he cut to fit over the frame he built himself, from scratch, and added the engine, transmission and drive-train from a street-legal quad. His little beast ran great, but he still needed to add a whole list of features to actually make it roadworthy. He somehow managed to get a custom 3-inches by 9-inches safety-glass windshield installed, headlights, taillights, turn signals, rear-view mirror, seat belt and even a functional horn. It took a while to get everything straightened out, but after going through Guinness’ strict approval process, Austin Coulson finally became the new record holder for the world’s smallest roadworthy car. His contraption measures 63.5 cm (25 in) tall, 65.41 cm (25.8 in) wide and 126.47 cm (50 in) long.
