‘Getting Started’ – 33 Exotic & Classic Cars Starting Up

Getting Started

Getting Started‘ is a short video that includes the sights, but more importantly the sounds, of 33 amazing vehicles roaring to life! From the ’69 Jaguar E-Type’s quiet Inline-6 to the rumble of the Aventador’s 6.5L V12 and the punch of the Saleen S7’s twin turbos, we don’t often have the pleasure of hearing these fire up. Spanning decades, cylinder numbers, and displacements each engine¹s voice is as individual and recognizable as its body style. Just one of these cars is enough to get any automotive enthusiast¹s attention, but hearing all 33 unique cars one after another is like a symphony to any gearhead’s ears!

Enjoy!

The Flatmobile

Meet The Flatmobile. A flattened version of the Batmobile.

.

At just 19 inches in height, the Flatmobile was at one time the world’s lowest street legal car (it was surpassed a few years back by the 17.79-inch-high Mirai). The car is based on the Batmobile and includes a flame-spouting jet engine. The Flatmobile was created by UK custom car builder Perry Watkins. Watkins has created a number of other record-breaking custom cars.

This 1949 Cadillac is completely covered with 38,295 pennies! They were affixed one by one using Silicone. They added over 200 pounds to the vehicle’s weight. The entire project took 6 weeks. The pennies are American, and include an 1817 “Big Cent”, two Error Pennies, and four 1943 Steel pennies; (but who’s counting?). And…it won’t scratch.
