Asshat Of The Day: Barack Obama

Barack Obama is the recipient of our prestigious Asshat Of The Day award for comparing the Stock Market plunge to a mere “gyration,” which is similar to a daily tracking poll on a political campaign.

How in the hell did this guy ever get elected? Most people like me have lost over 50% of our nest egg. Obama is either an idiot or he just doesn’t care. I’m guessing he just doesn’t care.

The market is an indicator of where investors feel the economy is headed, not just where it is today. The fact that every time the White House rolls out a new proposal the market plunges shows the direction people with money in the game think the economy will be in the future.

“What I’m looking at is not the day-to-day gyrations of the stock market but the long-term ability for the United States and the entire world economy to regain its footing, And, you know, the stock market is sort of like a tracking poll in politics. It bobs up and down day to day, and if you spend all your time worrying about that, then you’re probably going to get the long-term strategy wrong.” ~ Barack Obama – March 3rd, 2009

Obama: stock bargains out there

Asshat Of The Day: Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood

Obama’s Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is the recipient of our prestigious Asshat Of The Day award for wanting to tax motorists based on how many miles they drive.

It seems like this administration is trying everything they can to destroy this country. They are absolutely begging for a revolution!

Obama’s Transportation Secretary Eyes Mileage Tax on American Motorists

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says he wants to consider taxing motorists based on how many miles they drive rather than how much gasoline they burn — an idea that has angered drivers in some states where it has been proposed.

Gasoline taxes that for nearly half a century have paid for the federal share of highway and bridge construction can no longer be counted on to raise enough money to keep the nation’s transportation system moving, LaHood said in an interview with The Associated Press.

“We should look at the vehicular miles program where people are actually clocked on the number of miles that they traveled,” the former Illinois Republican lawmaker said.

Asshat Of The Day: Rep. José Serrano

Asshat Of The DayRep. José Serrano [D-NY] is the first recipient of our prestigious Asshat Of The Day award for sponsoring resolution H. J. Res. 5: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

Keep in mind that if the Democrats were to pass this, it would also take 3/4 of the States to agree and that will never happen. If by some miracle it did, the first President it would apply to would be the Republican who will follow Obama!
