“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
We’ve called, faxed and e-mailed our objections to the Illegal Alien Amnesty Bill. But they still didn’t listen. If the Senate won’t listen, we’ll have to speak a language they understand. Yes that’s right; it’s time for Term Limits.
It has been said that Congressional corruption has no party, no ideology and no gender. It’s bipartisan and soaked in history and tradition. It also often defies logic. What really needs to be done is to put a limit of one term in one office and a waiting period of several years before being elected or appointed to another office in government. We need to make political careers impossible.
Lets’ not forget that it was people who were not career politicians that created the government and the Constitution of the United States of America.
